Akshay Oberoi reveals the reason why is he not a part of Aishwarya Rai starrer "Fanney Khan". Akshay told the media," Who in the right mind would ever decline Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra- Aishwarya Rai Bachchan film? It would have been my honor to work with Aishwarya and Rakeysh Sir. Yes, I had auditioned for the film and got shortlisted but unfortunately, I wasn't the one who was finalized for the role and these things happen. I would have loved to be the one to receive that final call from the producers but may be next time."

The main reason that had come in front is that Akshay Oberoi is a cousin brother Vivek Oberoi (Aishwarya's Ex Boyfriend). So, Akshay had declined the role to avoid the awkwardness. Now, this is again a mystery that which actor bags the opportunity to romance the queen of hearts in the movie.
