BOLLYWOOD FLICK ‘PADMAVATI’ FIRST SONG TITLED ‘GHOOMER’ IS OUT

The first song of the movie “Padmavati” starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor released on Wednesday. The title of the song is “Ghoomer”. The lyrics of the song are beautifully penned by Swaroop Khan. Shreya Ghoshal has given her vocals for the song featured on Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor. “Padmavati” is a Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film which has gone through so many controversies.

Let us talk about the music track. As the title “Ghoomar” speaks for itself, it means Ghoomna in hindi. “Ghoomar” is basically a Rajasthani Folk Dance. It involves twirling in circles and co-oridinated hand movements and foot. “Ghoomer” is also performed by new brides when they are welcomed into their marital homes.  The song is a dance number and this was the first sequence to be shot for the film. Reportedly, it took 40 days and more than 100 people to create a set up for the traditional number.

The film also features Ranveer Singh as invader Alauddin Khijli and Shahid Kapoor is playing Maharawal Ratan Singh in the lead role. Deepika Padukone is playing Rani Padmavati. “Padmavati” is supposed to be the biggest film of this year in terms of budget and performance. This movie is produced by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures and Bhansali Productions, “Padmavati” will be hitting theatres on 1 December Worldwide.
