PARSOON JOSHI REPLACED PEHLAJ NEHALANI AS CBFC CHIEF

The government has replaced Pehlaj Nehalani who was the chief of the Central board of Film Certification (CBFC) who was accused of irrational decisions that were strictly aimed to create a sanitised Indian Film Industry. Nihalani was appointed in January 2015 and was supposed to step down in January 2018, as a part of of his three year appointment. Reportedly, the Bollywood's famous lyricist, add guru and Screenplay writer Parsoon Joshi is appointed as a new chief in CBFC.

News are that Vidya Balan, Gautami Tadimalla and Vivek Agnihotri among few others will join Parsoon Joshi in Censor Board. Pahlaj Nihalani's career as aCensor Board member was filled with controversies. Many movies, including, "Udta Punjab", "Lipstick Under My Burka", "Indu Sarkar" and "Babumoshai Bandookbaaz" had to face the riffles of CBFC during his working tenure. When asked Pehlaj about "Udta Punjab", he said there was a lot of pressure from government on the release of "Udta Punjab". But he confirmed that he only supported the truth.

Many of the Bollywood personalities have taken a sigh of relief when Parsoon Joshi has been appointed the new chief of Censor Board. When Parsoon was asked about his feeling on being the chairperson of Censor board he smiled and replied that he is feeling wonderful as a chief. But siiting on the chair of thrones will definitely bring new friends and enemies also. But he promised that he will fulfil his responsilities at cost of anything and he is ready for them.
