SIKH FOUNDATION IN USA PROVIDES SCHOLARSHIP TO STUDENTS IN PUNJAB, GURPREET GHUGGI ATTENDS THE EVENT

The Sikh community is Washington, USA has deposited $210,000 to help young people in Punjab who are living without facilities to help with their higher education. 'Sikh Human Development Foundation' collected this amount at a program this week which was also attended by famous Punjabi actor Gupreet Ghuggi.

Talking to the mediapersons, S.H.D.F Chairman Gajendra Singh Ahuja said that S.H.D.F has given scholarship to more than 5000 students so far out which 2700 students have already graduated and are working in medical, engineering, scientific and other different fields.

Gajendra Singh Ahuja said that the organization gives scholarship to bright students who lag behind because of financial issues. IT Professional Jasdeep Singh Juneja who is currently working in Dallas, Texas is one of those students who took benefit of such scholarship and now hold a reputable position in an IT company.

SHDF is a U.S.-based non-profit, non-political, tax-exempt charitable organization which provides scholarships to students in Punjab and neighboring states in 30+ disciplines. Graduated scholarship recipients have been gainfully employed with multinational companies like Infosys and American Express, and known national organizations like the Indian Air Force, Department of Space, State Bank of India, Merchant Navy and other business enterprises.
