AAMIR KHAN AND ZAIRA WASIM TO APPEAR IN SECRET SUPERSTAR

Hailed as Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan is known for the quality of his films. In a career spanning more than 30 years, the actor always attempts to bring something unique to the table with his every new project.  Nowadays Aamir Khan is busy promoting his upcoming film titled ‘Secret Superstar’ which stars Dangal famed Zaira Wasim in the lead role.

Secret Superstar is about a young Muslim girl named Insiya who’s very passionate about music and aspires to be a singer but receives strong resistance from her father played by Raj Arjun.

Aamir Khan who also happens to be the producer of this film was all praise for Zaira Wasim and even went on to hail her as the current best actress in the Hindi Film industry. Aamir said that Secret Superstar will be an inspiration for the youth in the country who kill their dreams out of their parents’ expectations.

This is to be noted that Zaira Wasim received huge accolades for her performance as young Geeta Phogat in last year’s biggest success ‘Dangal’.  Though both the films seem to revolve around the theme of gender equality, Secret Superstar is dominated by a female character wherein Aamir will be playing a character named Shakti who’s a music director and composer currently on a downhill.

Secret Superstar is written and directed by Advait Chandan and is slated to release on October 19, 2017.
