After Ammy & Harrdy Sandhu, Wamiqa Gabbi Joins ‘83’ Cast; Leaves For London

Well-known Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi is the latest star to join Kabir Khan’s ensemble cast of ‘83’. She is the third star from Punjabi entertainment industry after Ammy Virk and Harrdy Sandhu to join the star cast of the film based on the life of former cricket legend Kapil Dev, who led the Indian cricket team in 1983 World Cup.

Wamiqa Gabbi’s father took to his official Facebook handle to share this information with his friends and followers. He shared a picture of his daughter Wamiqa Gabbi and captioned it as: “Happy News and Proude moments...

Hellow Friends...Wamiqa Gabbi is now flying to England for shoot of her latest Hindi movie '83'. Based on 1983 cricket World Cup...Ranbir Singh, Ami Virk, Hardy Sandhu and many more ....Deepika Padukon, Wamiqa Gaabi and many more are part of this historical movie...movie being directed by Kabir Khaan.... movie will release in April 2020...All best to whole team...just keep showering your best wishes...and blessings...”

The film also features real life couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead. While Ranveer is portraying the role of Kapil Dev on screen, Deepika is playing the role of Kapil Dev's wife Romi Bhatia.

The star cast of the film is currently in London to shoot the first leg of Kabir Khan’s directorial.

The film is scheduled to release on April 2020.
