Well-known Punjabi actress Wamiqa Gabbi is the latest star to join Kabir Khan’s ensemble cast of ‘83’. She is the third star from Punjabi entertainment industry after Ammy Virk and Harrdy Sandhu to join the star cast of the film based on the life of former cricket legend Kapil Dev, who led the Indian cricket team in 1983 World Cup.

The film also features real life couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone in the lead. While Ranveer is portraying the role of Kapil Dev on screen, Deepika is playing the role of Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Bhatia.
The star cast of the film is currently in London to shoot the first leg of Kabir Khan’s directorial.
The film is scheduled to release on April 2020.
