Akshay Kumar Gives Rs 5 Lakh To Acid Attack Survivor Laxmi As She Struggles To Find A Job

The Khiladi of Bollywood Akshay Kumar has once again proved that he has a heart of gold. This time, the actor came forward to help acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal who was struggling to make her ends meet.

According to the media reports, Akshay Kumar has transferred Rs 5 lakh to Laxmi Agarwal after a report in Hindustan Times stated that Laxmi was struggling to find a job owing to her disfigured face.

Hindustan Times in its report also stated that Laxmi was struggling to pay rent and unable to provide education to her three-year-old daughter.

Soon after Akshay heard Laxmi’s story, he came forward and helped her with Rs 5 lakh.

HT in its recent report has quoted Akshay as saying: “My contribution is a very small gesture. I am embarrassed to even mention it. The idea is that Laxmi should be able to search for a job with dignity, without having to worry about paying house rent or stressing about not being able to provide a nutritious meal to her baby. I wish people realise that when a person is in need of livelihood, medals, awards and certificates don’t pay the bills. It’s important to support through practical means.”

Besides Akshay, other citizens have also came forward to help the acid attack survivor.

On the work front, Akshay will next be seen in 2.0 alongside Rajinikanth and the period war drama film, Kesari, alongside Parineeti Chopra.

Directed by Anurag Singh, Kesari revolves around the Battle of Saragarhi.
