Akshay Kumar’s ‘Housefull 4’ Scores Second Highest Comedy Opening With Over Rs 19 Crore

Sajid Nadiadwala’s ‘Housefull 4 receives the second highest comedy opening ever with an earning of over Rs 19 crore. The film starring Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Sanon, Kriti Kharbanda, Bobby Deol and Pooja Hedge has surpassed the opening figures of the previous movies in the series.

‘Housefull 4’ is also the second-highest opening ever for a comedy film, after Golmaal Again. Golmaal Again had made a stellar Rs 30 crore on Day 1 of its release in 2017.

Taran Adarsh shared the box office collection of the film and wrote, “#HouseFull4 puts up a healthy number on Day 1… Biz did not grow in evening due to pre-#Diwali festivities… Day 4 is extremely crucial, when #Diwali celebrations begin and families throng cinema halls… Fri ₹ 18.85 cr. #India biz. #HF4”

The Farhad Samji directorial is the fourth iteration in the Housefull franchise that began with Housefull in 2010.
