Money Heist, a Netflix original series, is being adapted into a Hindi film. Abbas Mustan is set to direct the film, which will star Arjun Rampal as the Professor.
Money Heist, a Netflix series, has a sizable audience in India, so it was only a matter of time until it was given a desi makeover, and who better to direct the criminal thriller than one of our own - Abbas Mustan. According to reports, the popular filmmaking duo is planning to adapt the show into a film, with Arjun Rampal cast in the starring role of Professor. Three monkeyis reported to be the title of the film.
"Arjun Rampal's character is similar to Professor from Money Heist," a source close to the filmmakers told, "while Mustafa and two other actors will play the robbers." All three robbers, as well as the Professor, will have their own distinct personalities since they will be working together for a secret objective of personal gain."
"Abbas Mustan is a master at adapting international thrillers, and in the same manner, they've added their own flavor to the story of Three Monkeys," the source revealed.
According to reports, the Abbas Mustan film would be shot in a variety of places, beginning in Mumbai, and will be released in the second half of 2022. Later this month, the film will begin shooting on location. Five years after Machine, which marked the debut of Abbas' son, Mustafa, the filmmaker team will return to film direction with Three Monkeys.
Khiladi, Baazigar, Soldier, Ajnabee, Aitraaz, Humraaz, Race 1 and 2 are just a few of Abbas Mustan's outstanding directorial flicks. They're also getting ready for the Netflix premiere of Penthouse, which stars Bobby Deol and Arjun Rampal among others.
Arjun will next be seen in Dhaakad, a film co-starring Kangana Ranaut. He's also working on The Battle of Bhima Koregaon and Hari Hara Veera Mallu.
