Before Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's 5 hour long investigation by ED in connection to 'Panama Papers', Abhishek Bachchan has also been investigated

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan on Monday was seen leaving the Enforcement Directorate’s Headquarters after five hours of interrogation in Delhi. The actress was summoned by the investigative agency’s Delhi headquarter in relation to the investigation of the Panama Papers. Mrs. Rai was dressed totally in black wearing shades and a black mask as she walked calmly towards her car amidst the media chaos outside the office.

In connection to the 2016 worldwide tax leaks case which was well known as ‘Panama Papers’, the actress was called up and also investigated. As per the rules and regulations of the Foreign Exchange Management Act( FEMA), Aishwarya Rai’s statement was recorded.

The actress arrived at the headquarters of the agency near the India Gate, and on arrival, she also handed over some documents in relation to the case.

As per the investigation by the Washington-based International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) of a stockpile of records from Panamanian legal firm Mossack Fonseca in 2016 it was named as 'Panama Papers,' and named several world leaders and celebrities who allegedly stashed money abroad in offshore companies.  As per ICIJ, former Miss World and wife of Amitabh Bachchan’s son Abhishek had some ties with the 2005 BVI offshore firm.

If resources are to be believed, not only Aishwarya but also her family is involved in the offshore entity which acquires “initial authorized capital of USD 50,000."

In the year reportedly the company got dissolved where reports also suggest that actress’s husband Abhishek Bachchan has already been investigated in the same case by ED.
