Soon after the trailer of the Brahmastra movie was released on Wednesday, people loved the concept behind the film which features Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna, Mouni Roy in pivotal roles.
However, 'Boycott Brahmashtra' is trending on social media as netizens are upset with Ranbir Kapoor. While the 'Brashmastra' trailer has got a positive response, ‘#BoycottBrahmastra’ has started trending on Twitter.
Several social media users have urged people to boycott the film as the trailer showed Ranbir Kapoor wearing shoes and entering a temple.
A user wrote: "Entering Temple with shoes, this is what we can expect from Urduwood. Bollywood never misses a chance to hurt our sentiments towards Sanatana Dharma."
Another user wrote: "Waah re Bollywood entering the temple with shoes on. Boycott this movie!!! Let them feel our power!!! Aakhir kab tak urduwood bane rahoge."
"Ranbir Kapoor is shown wearing shoes and ringing a bell in the temple. Bollywood will never stop insulting Hinduism," wrote another.
Film Brahmastra, bankrolled by Karan Johar, is produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Production, Prime Focus and Starlight Pictures in association with Star Studios.
The film revolves around an imaginary universe named 'Astraverse'. It is being presented by SS Rajamouli in the South.
