#BoycottKapilSharmaShow: Twitterati Fumes In Anger After Sidhu’s Statement On Pulwama Attack

Twitter users were left fuming and started demanding a ban on The Kapil Sharma show after Punjab Cabinet minister Navjot Singh Sidhu, who is also the member of The Kapil Sharma Show, commented on recent terror attack in Pulwama in which over 40 Indian soldiers died.

According to the PTI, while condemning the attack Sidhu said: "For a handful of people, can you blame the entire nation and can you blame an individual?. It (the attack) is a cowardly act and I condemn it firmly. Violence is always condemnable and those who did it must be punished."

Sidhu’s statement didn’t go down well with social media users as they started demanding the ban on Kapil’s show using #boycottkapilsharmashow. Within minutes, #boycottkapilsharmashow became the top trend on Twitter.

Earlier, over 40 Indian soldiers lost their lives after a vehicle carrying explosives rammed into a security convoy on the Jammu-Srinagar highway. Following the attack, almost entire nation expressed anger and anguish over the cowardly attack and they demand strict action against those behind the attack.
