The first poster of Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi's web series "Break Point" have been released.
Bhupathi and Paes can be seen focused on their game in the poster for the upcoming film.
‘Break Point,' directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari, is a seven-part series about the iconic on-court partnership and their off-court lives.
Paes expressed his excitement for the upcoming project, saying, "I enjoyed this walk down memory lane shooting for 'BREAK POINT...'" While Mahesh and my on-court chemistry was publicly known, our off-court chemistry was largely unknown. This is the first time our fans will be able to see and hear everything live. Mahesh and I worked extremely hard to propel India to the top of the world tennis rankings, and we are thrilled to have the opportunity to tell our storey to the world like never before. Have fun on our journey.”
Break Point' is a fantastic story about friendship, brotherhood, partnership, belief, hard work, and ambitions, which propelled them to the top of the doubles world rankings in 1999. However, it also sheds light on their bitter breakup and how they were unable to maintain their meteoric rise. Moreover, It' s the story about two friends who planned for success but not for life after success.
Bhupathi also discussed reliving his journey through 'Break Point.'
“It is no secret that I am reserved when it comes to communication, so reliving the journey and putting it all out there in the most candid and honest manner is a big step for me. But, at the same time, I am thrilled that our fans will be able to witness our journey, which was filled with sweat, perseverance, brotherhood, and, at times, blood and tears. This will undoubtedly be a treat for everyone,” he predicted.
The directors also discussed their experiences working with veteran actors.
“It's fantastic to bring a series like this to the screen... Working with icons like Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes has been surreal, and bringing their untold storey to screen is something that we will cherish for the rest of our lives,” Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari and Nitesh Tiwari said in a joint statement.
