BRITISH MP TAN DHESI VISITS SALVATION ARMY'S HEADQUARTERS IN SLOUGH

The Slough Salvation Army that serves the homeless and needy around Slough, a large town in Berkshire, England, was recently visited by Slough MP Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi to see the charity work of the organization in tackling homelessness and poverty around Slough.

The organization also runs a soup kitchen called Slough Salvation Army Soup Kitchen for those who find it difficult to access medical services and other benefits.

Praising the work of the Salvation Army, Mr. Dhesi said “the Christian charity is an amazing example of faith being a force for so much good. I look forward to working with them in the future”.

This is to be noted that Tanmanjeet Singh Dhesi is the first turbaned Sikh MP in the UK, recently held an event called ‘Langar Week’ at Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha – Slough recently in order to apprise the needy about the ideology behind Langar in Gurudwaras.
