Deep Sidhu's Punjabi Film 'Saade Aale' To Get Screened At Cannes 2018

Deep Sidhu will be unveiling 'Saade Aale' at Cannes this year. This is the second Punjabi movie that will be representing the Punjabi Film Industry at one of the largest International Film Festival. Earlier it was Satinder Sartaj's "The Black Prince". This is such a proud moment for the Punjabi Entertainment Industry that every year we have a stuff that is made to represent the Punjabi Industry that could be a part of the International Film Festival.

Deep Sidhu shared a post on his Facebook and updated his fans about this big event. He posted his picture while he was leaving for Cannes and captioned it,

"Saade Aale" is a story of human relations, emotions, their Love and Hatred, happiness, celebrations and belonging…rural sports culture is a backdrop of this film’s treatment. "Saade Aale" in English means "Our Own". The protagonist of the film and ‘Jora 10 Numbaria’ of Pollywood has already reached the foreign state, where the Film Festival is being held.

The story of the film revolves around Manjeet and Bikkar who are from the same village and they both play kabaddi from their village team, Manjit is a raider and Bikkar is a defender. Their families don’t get along well with each other and the old rivalries between them create nuisance in their lives and both Manjeet and Bikkar do not like each other.

When things are on some right track, the story gets a twist when Bikkar dies unexpectedly that too at a time when Manjeet and Bikkar were together. Bikkar’s family feels that Manjeet has killed him and the killing was pre-planned, thereafter, their old rivalry resurfaces. Here comes the stage where the entire story unfolds is what “Saade Aale” is all about. In the end “Love and Belonging” prevails over ego fear and hatred. Bathinda Wale Bai presents in association with Kuknoos Films the movie is slated to release on May 16 at Cannes 2018. This is definitely a proud moment for all the Punjabis living Worldwide. And we expect more from the Industry to come up with. The movie will hit theatres on 6 July 2018.
