Did You Know: Diljit Dosanjh Has Won Most Number Of Best Actor Awards In PTC Film Awards

Singer turned actor Diljit Dosanjh who started his acting career with Punjabi movie ‘The Lion of Punjab’ in 2011. He continued to give blockbuster movies like ‘Jatt & Juliet’, ‘Punjab 1984’, ‘Sardaar Ji’ among others. Diljit has given some of the most successful Punjabi movies in history. Meanwhile, he has further moved into Bollywood with movies like ‘Udta Punjab’, ‘Soorma’ among others.

But did you know that, Diljit is the only Punjabi actor to win 4 best actor awards at PTC Punjabi Film Awards in a row.

He has continuously won the best actor award for the years 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015. In the year 2012, he first shared the award with Gippy Grewal for their movie ‘Jihne Mera Dil Luteya’. In 2013, he bagged the award for the highest grossing film of the year 2012 ‘Jatt & Juliet’.

Later on, Diljit lifted the trophy for ‘Jatt & Juliet 2’ in 2014, which also became the highest grossing film of the year 2013. The film broke records at the box office and won multiple awards.

In the year 2015, Diljit bagged the trophy for another superhit movie ‘Punjab 1984’. Based on a period drama, Diljit portrayed a different character than his previous movies. He shared the award with Gippy Grewal for his movie 'Jatt James Bond'.

Currently, Diljit has Punjabi movie ‘Shada’ lined up to release this year, besides his Hindi projects. Do you think he will win the best actor again next year?
