Diljit Dosanjh Starrer Soorma Releases, Celebrities Impressed With Shaad Ali’s Directorial

After Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju’, a biopic on controversial life of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt, today we are getting ‘Soorma’, a film based on the life journey of Indian hockey player Sandeep Singh. Diljit Dosanjh is playing Sandeep, who was hit by a stray bullet while travelling in Shatabadi Express while on his way to join Indian team for Hockey World Cup in 2006. He was paralyzed waist down but he returned to the Indian Hockey team after two years. Soorma covers the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup victory and Olympics 2012 qualification under his captaincy.

Diljit Dosanjh took it to his Instagram to reveal the release of the film and his post is captioned as:

"SOORMA DAY ???? Film Lagh Gai Aaj Theatres Mai..Dekh kar Batana Kaisi Laggi ??"

Soorma also features Bollywood actress Tapsee Pannu, Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Angad Bedi in important roles. Its music is composed by Shankar Ehsaan Loy and Diljit has also given his voice to some hit numbers in the movie.

Sandeep’s father offered Diljit his son’s personal hockey stick, when the actor was busy in promotions of the movie at Shahabad in Haryana.

Karan Johar and many other celebrities gave their reviews on Diljit's newly released movie 'Soorma'. Here is what Karan quoted in his tweet:
