Director Who Introduced Shah Rukh Khan With TV show ‘Fauji’ Dies At 87

Colonel Raj Kapoor, the director who introduced Shah Rukh Khan with the television show "Fauji", passed away due to old age ailments at a hospital in New Delhi on April 11 night. He was 87.

His son shared the sad news on Facebook and wrote, "This is to inform you that our beloved Dad, Raj Kumar Kapoor (Colonel), has left his earthly body to go on a brand new adventure."

He retired from the army after he became a disciple of Osho and moved to Mumbai to work in films. He produced many serials and acted in full-length and ad films. Just a few years ago, he published a novel "When Shiva Smiles".

Colonel Raj Kumar Kapoor had worked with Shah Rukh Khan in the ‘Fauji’ series in 1989 when it aired on Doordarshan. Shah Rukh Khan played the character of Lt. Abhimanyu Rai in the TV Series.
