Exclusive Video: Shahid Kapoor Reveals Why He Said Yes To Act In ‘Kabir Singh’

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who is gearing up for the release of his next film ‘Kabir Singh’, revealed why he chose ‘Kabir Singh’ to be the first remake of his career.

He said, "I don't usually do remakes. Kabir Singh is the first remake of my career. We see films through box office number, like this film earned a lot toh remake karlo. But for Kabir Singh, I heard that people loved it a lot. Many people came and told me that they were really affected by the film, it was one of their favourite films and when I saw it, I felt the same."

He added, "I connected to the character, I connected to the film. It stayed with me. The reason I did Kabir Singh was that I strongly connected with it. Also, since the Telugu audience loved this film, I got a chance to bring this film to the national audience, so it is a good opportunity for me."

Kabir Singh is the Hindi remake of Telugu film Arjun Reddy, in which South star Vijay Deverakonda played the titular role. The film is directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who also helmed the Telugu original.
