First Look: Vicky Kaushal Is Unrecognisable As Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw

Vicky Kaushal, who has received much applause from movie lovers for his roles in films like ‘Sanju’ and ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’, is re-uniting with director Meghna Gulzar for a film on the life of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw.

Vicky Kaushal has earlier worked with Meghna Gulzar in Raazi.

Vicky Kaushal took to Instagram to share his look from the film. The actor wrote, "I feel honoured, emotional and proud of getting a chance to unfold the journey of this fearless patriot, the swashbuckling general, the first Field Marshal of India- SAM MANEKSHAW. Remembering him on his death anniversary today and embracing the new beginnings with @meghnagulzar and #RonnieScrewvala"

About Sam Manekshaw

Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw was the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of the Indian Army during the India-Pakistan 1971 war. Popularly called ‘Sam Bahadur’, he was the first Indian officer to be promoted to the rank of a field marshal.
