Geeta Basra has spoken out about having two miscarriages before the birth of her and Harbhajan Singh's son Jovan. In the last two years, the actress has had two miscarriages, one in 2019 and the other last year. The Train actress remarked in a recent interview that the last two years have been extremely stressful and mentally demanding for her. Geeta also revealed what she has learned the most from this trying time.
According to Geeta Basra, the greatest lesson is that in the two years that have passed is, that you have this anxiety every time you conceive because you've previously experienced it. There's a chance it'll happen again, but I always feel that prayers and an optimistic attitude are the only things you'll need to get through it. It's okay to cry about it, vent your feelings, and then move on.
Geeta Basra said of the first time she held Jovan in her arms, "It was the most wonderful moment and miraculous emotion... It was like the happiest feeling in the world... like finally. Oh my God, I thought. He is in fact present. I don't think I'll ever be able to put into words how I felt at that time. We got a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, just like a rainbow baby. That was exactly how it felt; it had been a two-year fight. When you hold your infant in your arms, the entire universe that you've wished for descends upon you.
On July 10, 2021, Geeta and Harbhajan welcomed their second child, a male baby boy named Jovan Veer Singh Plaha. Hinaya Heer Plaha, the couple's daughter, was born in 2016.
