Gurdas Maan Cancels Kolkata Event Due To Venue’s Unethical Display Of Sikh Morals

Punjabi singer Gurdas Maan has recently canceled his performance at a Durga Puja event in Kolkata after being informed about the unethical display of Sikh morals at the venue.

Going by the reports posted in leading news portals, Gurdas Maan was on his way to the venue when it was brought to his attention that the venue displays a replica of the Golden Temple (Sri Harmandir Sahib), and it violates the morals of Sikh.

Leading news portals shared his words on why he canceled the show. According to the reports, Maan said, “The event organisers have created a replica of the Golden Temple with people entering bare headed and wearing shoes. Sadly, even if it ruffles the organisers, I could not have done this as it's completely against my personal beliefs in the sanctity of religious places. I'm quite shocked at this violation.”

Gurdas Maan was due to perform at the Subhash Uddyan venue in South Kolkata locality of Bhowanipore on Sunday.
