Nankana is a very special film for many obvious reasons. It's Gurdas Maan movie first of all and it will showcase the year 1947 and the bloodbath that followed has innumerable heart-breaking stories. Gurdas Maan’s upcoming Punjabi film ‘Nankana’ is the story of one such family and their struggle to survive amidst the riots that followed during partition. Another reason why ‘Nankana’ is special is that this film is being directed by Gurdas Maan’s wife Manjeet Maan.

Last but not the least is the main lead Kavita Kaushik who holds a special corner in her heart for Gurdas Maan. In a press conference for "Nankana", she expressed her feelings.
