GURU RANDHAWA'S TRACK TO BE ADAPTED IN VIDYA BALAN STARRER 'TUMHARI SULU'

Punjabi star singer Guru Randhawa’s tracks have always been party lovers’ favourite. All of his songs, be it ‘suit suit’ or ‘high rated gabru’ enjoy millions of views on You-Tube and thanks to that, Guru Randhawa’s outreach is no longer limited to Punjabi music industry.

As we all know, Guru’s one of the biggest hits ‘Suit Suit’ was recreated for Irfaan Khan starrer Bollywood film ‘Hindi Medium’ in recent past and now another of his hit tracks is making way for Bollywood.

Yes, you heard it right. Guru Randhawa’s chartbuster track ‘Ban ja Rani’ will soon be adapted for another Bollywood film which will star Vidya Balan in the lead role.

‘Tumhari Sulu’, directed by Suresh Triveni will hit the theatres this year on 17th November. The film is a comedy/drama in which Vidya Balan will be seen portraying the role of Sulochana a.k.a. Sulu who’s a Radio Jockey in Mumbai.

This is to be noted that Bollywood heart-throb Arjun Kapoor wanted to incorporate Guru Randhawa’s ‘Ban ja Rani’ in his recent film ‘Mubarakan’ but could not do so as the track did not go along with Film’s overall theme.

Bhushan Kumar, T-Series Chairman confirmed the news saying “Arjun brought the track to my notice. Guru is our prized artiste, so we acquired the song. I made my partners (Ellipsis) hear it and it got an immediate thumbs up from everyone. It has been recreated for the movie and I am sure that it will be loved by all age groups.”

After seeing Guru Randhawa take such big leaps of success, the day is not far when we will hear him as a Playback singer in Bollywood.
