Happy Birthday Gurpreet Ghuggi! Know These Unknown Facts About The Actor

Gurpreet Ghuggi is one of the most versatile actors of the Punjabi film industry. Born as Gurpreet Singh Waraich on June 19, he is an actor and comedian known for his work in Punjabi and Hindi movies.

Before entering films, he began his career with theatre in the early 1990s, and then subsequently moved to the television. He has also gained international public recognition with his comedy through his videos.

Today, on his birthday, we bring you some lesser known facts about the actor.

Gurpreet Ghuggi was appointed as an ASI in the Punjab Police Cultural wing in the mid 90’s. However, he soon left that job as he was more into singing than police duty.

He shifted his focus on comedy under the guidance of comedian Balwinder Vicky, who gave him his iconic name Ghuggi.

The actor had also joined AAP in the year 2014 and had also become state party convener in 2016. But he soon left in 2017 when Bhagwant Maan took over.

Apart from being a known face in Punjabi cinema, he has also appeared in Bollywood and Canadian films.
