Singer-rapper Hard Kaur is known for crooning hit songs like ‘Laung  Da Lashkara’, ‘Char Baj Gaye’, ‘Move Your Body’ among others. The ‘Ek Glassy’ fame singer is celebrating her 40th birthday today on July 29.  Born in Kanpur, Hard Kaur became a sensational rapper and hip-hop singer in UK.

Here are some lesser known facts about Hard Kaur, who struggled her way to the industry: Born as Taran Kaur Dhillon in Kanpur, Hard Kaur lost her father during the 1984 Sikh riots. She refused to sit back and be bullied when she moved to UK with her stepfather. She raised her voice against domestic violence and beat her stepfather at the age of 14 for beating her mother. publive-image Hard Kaur was introduced to hip-hop at the age of 14, and she was instantly in love with it.
