Happy Birthday Neeru Bajwa: Did You Know The Actress Directed A Punjabi Movie Too? Read On

Neeru Bajwa, also referred as the queen of Pollywood is a Canadian born Indian actress, associated widely with the Punjabi cinema. The actress is celebrating her birthday today on August 26, as she turns a year older.

With her appearance in Punjabi films and a few of Hindi films, Neeru stepped into the acting world in 1998 with Dev Anand's Bollywood film ‘Main Solah Baras Ki’. After working with Dev Anand, she moved on to working in Indian soap operas.

In January 2013, Bajwa appeared in the multi-starer Punjabi film Saadi Love Story, produced by Jimmy Sheirgill productions, directed by Dheeraj Rattan and starring Diljit Dosanjh, Amrinder Gill, and Surveen Chawla. She paired up opposite Diljit Dosanjh again in the ‘Jatt and Juliet’ series, which broke all the previous opening day collection records for Punjabi cinema.

But do you know that apart from acting in the Punjabi industry, she has also directed a Punjabi film too?

Neeru debuted as a director in 2017 with the Punjabi movie ‘Sargi’, which stars her sister Rubina Bajwa in the leading role alongside Jassi Gill and Babbal Rai. She also owns a production company called Neeru Bajwa Entertainment.
