Love, when tested, sometimes has a way of surprising us with strangers living inside us!
Hari Chutney is breezy & a musical story of an urbane Punjabi couple in their early 30s, residing in Mohali. Anhad, an architect and Sufi, a freelancer for production companies, have been married for five years. They have an easy, intense bond with shared passion for music and cinema. The highlight of the film is a song written by Padmashri Surjit Patar.
Sufi, a vivacious woman, is an affectionate, generous woman who goes overboard when it comes to helping others. Anhad loves her for this but keeps warning her that this will land her in trouble some day.
One day, Sufi brings home Mary, an attractive girl in her mid 20s, who’s escaped from her missionary home and come to Mohali, looking for work. She is a student of music and that is a big reason why Sufi is excited about bringing her home. Sufi lovingly tells her to stay at her place till she finds a job. Till then she can help in the kitchen and earn some money.
When Anhad comes home to find Mary, he’s extremely uncomfortable with a stranger in the house and tells Sufi she’s gone too far. Sufi won’t listen.
Something unfolds and the story gets a twist.
The movie will air on PTC Punjabi at 7:45 PM on March 22.
