Here’s What Yo Yo Honey Singh Said After Watching ‘URI – The Surgical Strike’
Vicky Kaushal and Yami Gautam starrer ‘Uri-The Surgical Strike’ has become the first film of 2019 to enter Rs 100 crore club. Well-known singer-rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh too watched the film and praised the storyline, direction and performances by the actors.
Honey Singh, whose latest single album ‘Makhna’ created havoc on social media by becoming the fastest to reach 10 million views on YouTube, took to his official Instagram to share a pic from the movie while sitting in a movie hall.
In his post, Honey Singh urged his followers to watch the movie. He captioned it as: “Film “URI “ is so phenomenal, brilliant taking n direction n good performances by actors!! Pls go n watch if u really love India!! Its about us #URI.”
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film is based on Indian Army’s 2016 surgical strike against the launch pads of suspected militants in Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
Released on January 11, ‘Uri’ has witnessed immense viewership despite mix reviews. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh termed the film as the first ‘BLOCKBUSTER of 2019’.
