Simi Chahal has successfully made her place in the Industry with her strong characters and suttled style. She did her debut in Pollywood with Pankaj Batra’s “Bambukaat” opposite Binnu Dhillon and Ammy Virk. She has also worked with Tarsem Jassar and Mandy Takhar in “Rabb Da Radio”. “Rabb Da Radio” has grabbed the maximum number of awards in PTC Film Awards as well. Simi Chahal has also got the award for Best Critic Female for “Rabb Da Radio“. Her hard work and dedication for work could be seen in her success stories.
Simmi Chahal is coming on the big screen once more with two movies, “Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua” with Harish Verma which is releasing today and “Daana Paani” opposite Jimmy Shergill which is scheduled to release on 4 May this year. Simi Chahal has admitted in her interview that she is in the best phase of her life. She says, “I am choosy when it comes to my work. But that selection process does not depend upon the sphere of the film or the big faces that it features. I focus on the script and what it has to offer to the audience in terms of story. For instance, Bambukat or Rabb Da Radio and now these upcoming films surely have a freshness…”
Simi has constantly being signed into multi starter movies and she is quite ok with being typecasted again and again. She believes that unless one is enjoying work and people are liking it, it hardly matters getting the same role again and again. She has perfectly played a village girl in “Bambukaat” and “Rabb Da Radio”. but, her current release “Golak Bugni Bank Te Batua” is bringing her in a bubbly role. So, audiences will see her fun and comic side in the movie. The movie is releasing today on the Baisakhi Day.
