‘I Miss You Dad’, Japji Khaira’s Heartfelt Note For Her Dad Who Died On March 31

Punjabi actress Japji Khaira, known for her appearances in movies like ‘Singh vs Kaur’, ‘Mitti Wajaan Maardi’ and ‘Son Of Manjeet Singh’ among others, posted an heartfelt note for her father Prem Prakash Khaira who passed away on March 31.

Japji Khera took to her official Instagram handle to share the picture of her late father with a heartfelt note. Here’s what she wrote:

I miss you Dad ਡਾਢੇ ਰੱਬ ਨੇ ਕਹਿਰ ਕਮਾਇਆ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜੱਗ ਵਿਖਾਇਆ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਖੋਹ ਲਿਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਾਇਆ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਪਾਪਾ ਦੀ ਗੋਦ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਅੱਖ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੀ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਬ ਸਾਥੋਂ ਬਦੋ-ਬਦੀ ਖੋਹ ਕੇ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ, ਅਸੀਂ ਬੇਬਸੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੱਕਦੇ ਹੀ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਹੀ ਪਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਸਾਇਆ ਏਸ ਜਹਾਨੋਂ ਤੁਰ ਗਿਆ। ਮੇਰੇ ਪਾਪਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸੀ।ਮੈਂ ਜੀਵਨ ਦੀ ਪਹਿਲੀ ਪੁਲਾਂਘ ਪੁੱਟਣੀ ਚਾਹੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਝੱਟ ਆਪਣੀ ਉਂਗਲ ਅਗਾਂਹ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ, ਮੈਂ ਖਿੜ-ਖਿੜ ਹੱਸਣਾ ਚਾਹਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਖਿੜਖਿੜਾਹਟ ਬਣ ਗਏ, ਮੈਂ ਉੱਡਣਾ ਚਾਹਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਝੱਟ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੰਭ ਖਿਲਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖੰਭਾਂ ‘ਤੇ ਹੀ ਉੱਚੀ ਉਡਾਰੀ ਮਾਰ ਮੈਂ ਸੱਭਿਆਚਾਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਬਰ ਦਾ ਸਿਤਾਰਾ ਬਣ ਗਈ, ਅੱਜ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਤੁਰ ਜਾਣ ਬਾਅਦ ਖ਼ੁਦ ਨੂੰ ਖਾਲੀ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹਾਂ।ਬੇਬੱਸ, ਨਿੰਮੋਝੂਣੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਹੋਈ ਇਹੋ ਸੋਚ ਕੇ ਸਬਰ ਕਰ ਰਹੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਸ਼ਾਇਦ ਰੱਬ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਥੋਂ ਵੀ ਵੱਧ ਲੋੜ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।

Prem Prakash Khaira is survived by his wife and two daughters Japji and Sukhmani Khaira.

On the work front, Japji Khaira is working on Gippy Grewal’s directorial ‘Ardaas 2’, which is the sequel of 2016 release ‘Ardaas’.

The first installment of the film was focused on various sensitive topics like female foeticide and impact of widespread usage of drugs among others.

Her last released ‘Son of Manjeet’ performed well at the box office. Produced by Kapil Sharma, the film received overwhelming response for showcasing the father-son relationship.
