Karan Johar’s directorial debut “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” completed 20 years on October 16. To celebrate the day, film’s director organised a grand party in Mumbai for his close friends from the industry.
During the bash, film’s lead actors Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji were also present among other guests. KKHH is popularly known for teaching friendship goals to millennials and for some of its dialogues like “pyaar dosti hai” and “kuch kuch hota hai Rahul, tum nahi samjhoge” among others.
Shah Rukh, Kajol and Rani played the characters of Rahul, Anjali and Tina, respectively in the film. Besides story, film’s song like “Ladki badi anjaani hai”, “Tujhe yaad na meri aaye”, “Sajanji ghar aaye” and “Yeh ladka hai deewana” among others were also the blockbuster hits.

Kuch Kuch Hota Hai marked Karan Johar’s debut as a director. Karan shared a poster of the film and thanked the audience for the immense love that the film has received over the years. He wrote, “Can’t believe it’s been #20yearsofKKHH! A film that gave me love , acceptance and a career….will always be eternally grateful to @iamsrk @kajol #rani @beingsalmankhan for indulging a 25 year old boy with stars in his eyes!!! Besides Film’s cast, actors like Kareena Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Twinkle Khanna, designer Manish Malhotra, Siddharth Malhotra, Ishaan Khattar and Janhvi Kapoor among others were also present to grace the occasion.

Made with a budget of about Rs 100 million, Karan Johar’s directorial debut performed exceptionally well at the box-office. The film earned around Rs 1.07 billion. Besides, SRK, Kajol and Rani, superstar Salman Khan too had a brief appearance in the film. He played the character of Aman Mehra. The film also features Sana Saeed, Farida Jalal, Anupam Kher, Archana Puran Singh, Neelam Kothari and Jhonny Lever in important roles.View this post on Instagram
