Ishaan Khatter pens a heartfelt note as he completes the shoot of 'Pippa'

Ishaan Khatter wraps up the shoot of Pippa: Bollywood actor Ishaan Khatter is all set to portray Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta in his upcoming movie 'Pippa'. The film is based on the life of Brigadier Balram Singh Mehta, a war veteran who fought in the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war alongside his siblings.

Pippa also stars Mrunal Thakur and Priyanshu Painyuli as Ishaan's younger sister and elder brother respectively in the film. The shoot of the film has recently been completed and along with sharing the pictures, Ishaan penned an emotional note.

“Filled with gratitude for the experience of this film. It’s been a dream to work with a team as excellent as this one. Humbled and brimming with love. This is your Captain Balram Singh Mehta signing off from #Pippa,” Ishaan wrote along with the wrap-up pictures.

Brigadier Mehta's book "The Burning Chaffees" is the inspiration for the film. Its name is derived from the PT-76 "Pippa," a Russian amphibious war tank.

Ishaan Khatter’s Pippa has been shot in numerous locations in Amritsar, West Bengal, Ahmednagar, and Mumbai. The filming of the film 'Pippa' began in September 2021 and the announcement of the film was made on the occasion of Vijay Diwas.

Ishaan while announcing the film wrote, "Blood sweat and tears. In the midst of shoot and it’s already one of my best filming experiences so far. We’re putting in the work to bring an honest, visceral and authentic story of bravado and sacrifice, but also comradeship and brotherhood to the big screens for you.. and lest I forget - the story of an army family navigating a war. 9th December, 2022. The film, which is being produced by RSVP and Roy Kapur Films, will also include veteran actor Soni Razdan. The film will be released in theatres on December 9th of this year.
