Jacqueline, Karishma and Varun Groove To 'Kinniya Tareefan' At Sonam's Sangeet
Sonam Kapoor's Mehendi ceremony took place at her own residence. Now, it's Sangeet time. Dressed to perfection in shades of ivory and gold, the bride-to-be and her handsome groom arrived well in time to get the celebrations started at the venue the Sunteck Signature Island. This is the place where Sonam’s maternal aunt Kavita Singh’s Bandra bungalow is.
Sonam looked stunning in a Chikankari lehenga by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla Couture paired with heavy gold and pearl jewelry, Anand looked dashing in a matching colored kurta paired with a Nehru jacket and a large emerald broché. According to the designers, Sonam’s ensemble took multiple teams of artisans eighteen months to complete but the beauty personified as she opted for a detailed Abujaani Sandeep Kholsa's white and gold lehenga for her Sangeet ceremony. The theme of the night was white and gold and the guests made sure to stick to the theme specified by the bride herself.
The ceremony also saw Sonam's friends put mehndi on their hands, those who couldn't the function the previous night. This included fellow actors Swara Bhaskar and Jacqueline Fernandez.
