JIMMY SHERGILL IS BACK IN PUNJABI FILM INDUSTRY WITH HIS NEXT 'DAANA PAANI'

Jimmy Shergill, who was last seen playing the role of an Army officer in 'Dharti', is back in the Punjabi arena with his next film titled ‘Daana Paani’ wherein he will be playing an Army Subedar. Jimmy Shergill had been missing from Punjabi Film Industry for quite some time and the actor has certainly made his fans happy with the announcement of his new film.

Daani Paani is being directed by ‘Rabb Da Radio’ famed Tarnvir Singh Jagpal and along with Jimmy, will star Simi Chahal, Nirmal Rishi in pivotal roles. Even though not much has been revealed about the story line, speculations are rife that the film will be a period drama set-up in 60’s Punjab. It is expected to be a love story between a village girl, played by Simi, and Jimmy, who will be seen essaying the role of an army Subedar.

Jass Grewal, known as the ‘Hit Machine’ of Punjabi Film Industry has penned down film's story. Jass Grewal is credited for writing stories that are drawn to the ancient Punjab that showcase typical Punjabi culture. The first schedule of the film has been completed and now the team is all set to start shooting for the second lot in Punjab.
