
Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor, who is currently busy promoting her upcoming film 'Laal Singh Chaddha' alongside Aamir Khan, was rumoured to have asked Rs 12 crore for playing the role of 'Sita' in the mythological drama 'Ramayan'.
She was rumoured to have demanded a huge amount of money to essay the role of 'Sita' in 'Ramayan' movie.

In the meanwhile, Kareena Kapoor Khan finally broke the silence on it and revealed that she was never offered the film in the first place.
As per the reports, there were rumours that Kareena Kapoor had hiked her her fees, and demanded Rs 12 crore for playing 'Sita' in the Hindu mythological epic drama 'Ramayan'.

Several reports had stated that Kareena Kapoor was charging over Rs 6-8 crore for a film but she had doubled her fees for 'Ramayan'. Back then. it was reported that the film would take up several months of work for Kareena which is why she demanded a huge amount.

Talking about 'Ramayana', Kareena Kapoor had told Zoom that the reason she never gave an explanation was because she was never offered the film.
'Poo' said she doesn't even know why she was put into that as she wasn't the choice for the film. She referred to the reports as made-up stories and stated that she doesn't want to put anybody down as maybe even they need stories.
