Kesari Earns Over Rs 130 Cr. Will Akshay’s Film Touch Rs 150 Cr This Weekend?

Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starrer ‘Kesari’ has raced past he Rs 130-crore mark at the Indian box office. ‘Kesari’ is now Akshay’s  third consecutive film to cross Rs 100 crore mark after Gold (2018) and 2.0 (2018).

Trade analyst and film critic Taran Adarsh took to his official Twitter handle to share the details. He wrote: “#Kesari is slow, but steady... Target ₹ 150 cr depends on how it fares in Week 3, when new films arrive, screens/shows get reduced and biz gets divided... Fri 4.45 cr, Sat 6.45 cr, Sun 8.25 cr, Mon 3.27 cr, Tue 2.75 cr. Total: ₹ 131.03 cr. India biz.”

The movie portrays the story of 21 Sikh fighters who fought against 10,000 Afghan invaders in the heroic battle of 1987 of Saragarhi. Akshay Kumar gives a jaw-dropping performance with his Punjabi accent and light-weighted punches in the movie.

Directed by Anurag Singh, the film was released on March 21.
