KGF Chapter 2: Man shot in Karnataka during screening of Yash-starrer action drama

While Prashanth Neel's directorial 'KGF Chapter 2', featuring Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles, is breaking multiple records at the box office globally, a tragic incident has been reported from Karnataka where a man was shot during the screening of the film by the fellow moviegoer.

KGF Chapter 2 is a blockbuster film in which Yash is playing the role of 'Rocky Bhai' while Sanjay Dutt is essaying 'Adheera', Raveena Tandon as 'Ramika Sen, the Prime Minister of the country'. The film has become the fastest film to enter the Rs 250 crore club at ticket windows.

However, in a shocking incident, the violence showcased onscreen was translated into a real life incident in Karnataka during the screening of 'KGF Chapter 2'.

What actually happened?

In a horrific turn of events, a 27-year-old man from Shiggaon in Karnataka’s Haveri district was seriously injured after a minor argument at a theatre escalated into a fight and concluded with the man being shot twice in his stomach.

Reportedly, the victim has been identified as Vasanthkumar from Mugali village. He was watching 'KGF Chapter 2' at Rajashri theatre along with his friends. While watching the film, he accidentally touched the seat of another moviegoer which led to an argument. The accused then stormed out of the theatre and returned with a pistol in his hand and shot Vasanthkumar.

The accused had fired three shots out of which two hit Vasanthkumar who was taken to KIMS Hospital in Hubbali. Currently, he is out of danger.
