Lata Mangeshkar’s Birthday To Be Celebrated With A Special Event. Details Here

The day-long celebration will see a presentation of 91 Hindi-Marathi songs and the launch of a book ‘Lata’ among other programs as the event will begin at noon and will go till midnight on September 28.

According to the reports, the program will have a presentation of 40 solo Marathi songs, 51 Hindi solo songs.

Meanwhile, the book ‘Lata’ with its forward penned by none other than another Bharat Ratna and legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar has rare photographs and anecdotes by the personalities from various fields, will be released in the presence of the Mangeshkar family.

The first session will begin with ‘Lata Marathi’ which will see 40 solo Marathi songs sung by and presented by leading singers at 12 Noon till 5 pm. The second session starting at 5 pm will be in Marathi and dedicated to the release of the book.

The third session will begin at 6.30 pm with ‘Lata Hindi’ where 51 solo Hindi songs, originally sung by Lata Mangeshkar, will be presented by leading and popular singers.

Meanwhile, the government of India has planned to honour the Nightingale of India, Lata Mangeshkar with the title of the ‘Daughter Of The Nation’. Lata will be conferred the title on her 90th birthday this year on September 28.
