MANUSHI CHHILLAR WINS MISS WORLD 2017 TITLE, ENDS INDIA'S 17 YEAR DROUGHT

In a proud moment for India, Haryana’s 20 year old Manushi Chhillar won the Miss World 2017 title at a grand event in China. It’s only after 17 years that Manushi Chhillar’s win has ended the country’s dry spell at the coveted event. Manushi, who happens to be a medical student surpassed top five contestants from England, France, Kenya and Mexico.

During the round, when asked which profession according to her deserved the highest salary, Manushi replied saying,  “I think a mother deserves the highest respect and when you talk about salary it's not always about cash but I feel it's the love and respect that you give to someone. My mother has always been the biggest inspiration in my life.”

This is to be remembered that Aishwarya Rai had bagged India’s first Miss World title in 1994 and the last title was won by Priyanka Chopra in 2000.
