Born in Jalandhar, he studied media arts in Australia. Before turning to directing, Anurag worked as an assistant director for several years. Before stepping into Punjabi movies, he directed Bollywood movies ‘Raqeeb’ and ‘Dil Bole Hadippa!’ in 2007 and 2009.
