Meet Bhai Sarwan Singh: He Holds Guinness Book Record For The Longest Beard By Karan Nanda 25 Jun 2019 | Updated On 25 Jun 2019 18:13 IST in Lifestyle Health & Lifestyle New Update Advertisment Bhai Sarwan Singh, head priest at Surrey's Guru Nanak Sikh temple, has his name registered in the Guinness Book of World Record since 2008 for the long beard in the world. “The longest beard measures 2.495 m (8 ft 2.5 in) and belongs to Sarwan Singh (Canada) when measured in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada, on 8 September 2011,” according to a report published in Guinness Book of World Record's official website. The previous record was held by Shamsher Singh of Punjab, India, with a beard last measured at 1.83 metres in 1977.
