 ‘My biggest regret is I couldn’t even get to see you once in the last few years’, Writes Jimmy Sheirgill On Remembering Irrfan Khan

Bollywood has been continuously grieving on the sudden demise of the actor Irrfan Khan. The actor breathed his last on April 29 in Mumbai and apart from Bollywood, it felt like a loss for the whole of cinema and the nation.

Amid the film fraternity, Jimmy Sheirgill is one such Punjabi actor is also closely related to the Bollywood film industry. He has worked in 5 films with Irrfan Khan, i.e., ‘Haasil’, ‘Charas’, ‘Yuh Hota Toh Kya Hota’, ‘Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns’ and ‘Madaari’.

After the demise of Irrfan Khan, Jimmy Sheirgill has now been vocal about his feelings, penning an emotional note on his Instagram.

He shared a monochrome picture of Irrfan and wrote a heartfelt note for the actor. He regrets not meeting him in the last few years, even after trying to meet. Jimmy wrote: “It’s going to take time..a long long time ..to get over this loss.Just like it’s taking time to come out of this shock.My biggest regret is I couldn’t even get to see you once in the last few years,though I tried to .We worked on five films together.My love and respect for you was immense and you knew that.You knew that I was a fan of yours since the first one ‘HAASIL’.Its very hard to come to terms with the fact that your gone.May the almighty give your family all the strength at this moment..You have inspired and will continue to inspire many like me...RIP Irfan Bhai ..?”

Irrfan was hospitalized with a colon infection; however, he was diagnosed with neuroendocrine tumour in 2018 and sought treatment in the UK for a year.
