She had cycled for 1200km with her injured father riding pillion with her as she headed to her village in Darbhanga. An exclusive report from a leading news daily revealed that the film will explore the problems that led to Jyoti’s journey. Shine Sharma will direct the film in Hindi, English and Maithili.The daily also quoted Jyoti as saying, “It feels very good,” when asked about the film title, it is said ‘Atmanirbhar’. The film will be made in Hindi, English and Maithili languages and dubbed into other languages, the director said. The actor to play Jyoti Kumari’s father is yet to be cast. Jyoti Kumari Paswan, 15, rode nearly 1,200 km on a second-hand bicycle with her injured father sitting behind her from Sikandarpur in Haryana to Darbhanga in Bihar when prime minister Narendra Modi announced a countrywide lockdown in March, covering the distance in eight days.
