Literally there is no place in the world where the Sikhs have not left their mark. Whether it is about serving langar, selflessly or by making the community proud, Sikhs are doing their best for all.
Recently, Prabjot Singh Mann became the first turbaned Sikh officer in the state of Georgia, USA. Prabjot joined the Marietta Police Department. A resident of Georgia took down to Facebook to welcome Prabjot to the blue family and wish him a safe and successful career.
He shared a bunch of pictures with a heartfelt caption. He wrote: “To the police officer, the badge represents the public trust with which he/she has the authority to act and to which he/she has the duty to remain true. From a practical standpoint, officers wear badges as a means to identify who they are and who they work for.
It is my privilege & honor to join Prabjot Singh Mann and his mom to badge him as he officially completes his training and became the 1st Turbaned Sikh Police officer in the state of Georgia.
We want to thank city of Marietta, Georgia and Marietta Police Department for allowing Sikhs to wear a Turban. Change in police will allow #Sikhs to serve your city and this country. Let’s all welcome Prabjot Singh Mann to the blue family and wish him a safe and successful career.”
Prabjot was honoured to get his badge through his mother as he officially completed his training.
Change in police of wearing a turban will allow Sikhs to serve the city and the country better.
