Punjabi superstar Ammy Virk is all set to make his debut in Bollywood with Ranveer Singh’s upcoming film ‘83’. Ammy, known for his roles in Punjabi films like ‘Qismat’ and ‘Harjeeta’ among others will be portraying the role of former Indian cricketer Balwinder Singh Sandhu in the movie.
Balwinder Singh Sandhu is known for knocking out Gordon Greenidge in 1983 cricket World Cup final.
The Punjabi actor shared a photograph with the legend on his official Instagram handle. Soon after his fans started commenting on it. While many congratulated Ammy for his achievement some commented on it as a ‘proud moment for Punjabis’.

Directed by Kabir Khan, film ‘83’ is based on the life of former Indian captain Kapil Dev who led the Indian side to lift the historic World Cup in 1983. Ranveer Singh is playing the role of Kapil Dev in the film.
The movie is releasing on April 10, 2020.
