PUNJABI HO PUNJABI VEKHO SAY NO TO TRP SCAMMERS I. SAY YES TO PUNJABI CHANNELS The recent TRP Scam has revealed how the national and big news channels have manipulated TRPs. By corrupt practices, year after year, these wily and powerful channels victimised smaller and regional channels by showing themselves as No. 1 in collusion with ratings agency. Hindi, English and even Bhojpuri channels were shown doing better in Punjab than Punjabi channels. Shows other than #Gurbani from Sri Darbar Sahab (Golden Temple) have been shown as more popular. A bhojpuri movie was shown doing better than even #PTCPunjabiFilmAwards. The result has been that Punjabi channels have suffered both in terms of business as well as reputation. It is time, Punjabis all over start patronising Punjabi channels. Watch more and more Punjabi channels - be it Pitara, Mh1 or any Punjabi channel of your choice. I am not saying watch only PTC Network channels like PTC Punjabi, PTC News and others but please, please watch any #Punjabi channel of your choice. All Punjabi channels need overwhelming support and TRPs of Punjabis so that ratings cannot be manipulated beyond a certain point. If week after week, #Punjab watches Punjabi channels then rating agency cannot fudge data week after week. All Punjabi channels would get business and will be able to produce better shows.
