Rajkumar Barjatya, Producer Of Many Salman Khan Blockbusters, Passes Away

Veteran film producer, Rajkumar Barjatya passed away in Mumbai on Thursday February 21. Father of Sooraj Barjatya, inherited the baton of Rajshri Films. He is popular for producing films like 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo', 'Hum Aapke Hain Kon', 'Vivah' among other superhit movies.

The news was tweeted by his production house Rajshri Films' official account as the team mourns the death of the Rajkumar.

According to the reports, Rajkumar was admitted at Reliance Hurkissondas Hospital as he was unwell from some time. He has mainly produced family-oriented films and was known for his works during the 1960s through the 1980s.

Rajkumar's son, Sooraj won the Filmfare Award for Best Director for Hum Aapke Hain Koun produced under Rajshri Films. Rajshri Films was founded in 1947.
