RAJKUMAR RAO'S 'NEWTON' MAKES IT TO THE OSCARS

Rajkumar Rao who has proved his metal time and again through critically acclaimed movies has a reason to be proud. His recently released political drama ‘Newton’ has been chosen as the official entry to Oscars from India.

Rajkumar Rao took to twitter to express his gratitude and said ““It’s a huge thing that people are loving the film here because we didn’t make a big, commercial, masala entertainer. The power of the film is its story and the way it has been told. The credit goes to the team, which didn’t compromise on the story. It’s a very pure, simple and sweetly told film,”

The fact that the film was released across the country today and still it was picked for India’s official entry to Oscars makes it really special. The film is not only raving in accolades from critics but also performing well at the box office which is a good sign as not many producers take up such subjects in India. We hope that ‘Newton’ makes it to final list in Oscars.
