Rajkummar Rao stepped into the Hindi film industry in 2010 and since then he has given power packed performances in film like ‘Stree’, ‘Newton’, ‘Bareilly Ki Barfi’ among others. Since a while ago, the buzz was, that he is being considered for the role of Dharmendra, in the remake of the 1975 cult classic film Chupke Chupke. However, in a recent interview with the Mumbai Mirror, Rajkumar has spilled beans on the remake and said that stepping into Dharmendra’s shoes will be a big responsibility. "It’s a big responsibility to step into his shoes. The scripting is underway now. We know that we can’t match Hrishida’s (Hrishikesh Mukherjee, Director) standard, but we will try to put our best foot forward." Rajkummar Rao quoted.
Along with Dharmendra, the original flick also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Sharmila Tagore and Jaya Bachchan in key roles. Meanwhile, the actor is ready with his next release ‘Made In China’. The film will be releasing on October 25.
